Overview
Our signature itinerary, and the one we recommend to almost every first-time client. It covers the four parks most people picture when they imagine a Tanzanian safari, ending with a full day inside Ngorongoro Crater — the most concentrated wildlife show on the continent.
Day-By-Day Itinerary
Pick-up in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro International Airport, drive to Tarangire National Park, afternoon game drive among some of Africa's largest elephant herds. Overnight at a lodge near the park.
Morning game drive in Tarangire, then transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for the treeclimbing lions and dense flamingo flocks along the lake shore.
Drive up through the Ngorongoro Highlands and down onto the Serengeti plains, with game viewing along the way as wildlife density picks up.
Full day in the Serengeti — game drives through the central and western corridor tracking lion prides, and the migration herds if they are in the area.
Early drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, descend to the crater floor for a full game drive among lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and thousands of grazers.
Breakfast, drive back to Arusha, transfer to the airport for departure.
