Day-By-Day Itinerary
-Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or a private transfer to Wilson Airport. A scheduled light aircraft flight to Amboseli takes approximately 45 minutes, offering aerial views of the savanna and, on clear days, Kilimanjaro. Alternatively, a private 4x4 road transfer takes about 5 hours, with a stop for refreshments.
- Upon arrival at the airstrip, your guide meets you for a short game drive en route to camp. Check into your suite and enjoy a leisurely lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to your first game drive in the private conservancy or the national park. The late afternoon light is ideal for photographing elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Return to camp for sundowners, a gourmet dinner, and an overnight stay.
- Begin with an early morning game drive. The prime time for predator activity and the clearest views of the mountain. Your guide has exclusive traversing rights in the private conservancy, meaning you avoid the main park crowds and can go off-road for closer sightings (within conservancy rules).
- Return to camp for a late breakfast. The middle of the day is yours to relax by the pool, enjoy a spa treatment (if available), or simply soak in the views from your suite.
- After a gourmet lunch, head out for an afternoon activity. This could be another game drive, a guided walking safari (where permitted), or a visit to a Maasai village for a cultural exchange. As evening falls, enjoy a sundowner in the bush before returning for dinner. Your camp often includes premium alcoholic beverages in the rate.
Take a final early morning game drive, focusing on any wildlife you may have missed or revisiting a favorite sighting. Return to camp for a full breakfast, then check out. Depending on your flight time, you may have one last short game drive on the way to the airstrip.
