Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in south west Kenya and is a vast scenic expanse of gently rolling African savannah plains measuring 1510 square kilometers in area and bordering the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the south. Masai Mara is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for its spectacular natural diversity of wildlife and is the premier Kenya Safari location in East Africa, offering visitors numerous reasons to visit this animal paradise.
-Lake Nakuru National Park is a protected wildlife haven in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, located about 160 km northwest of Nairobi. Established as a government-managed sanctuary, it hosts a thriving population of both black and white rhinoceros.
-Journey: You’ll be picked up early from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) and drive northwest towards the Great Rift Valley. The journey takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning photos.
-Afternoon Activity: Arrive at your lodge by lunchtime. After settling in, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous as a rhino sanctuary and for its flocks of flamingos that often create a pink rim along the lake. You'll also have excellent chances of spotting leopards, giraffes, and buffaloes.
-Accommodation Suggestion: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge, both perched on hills with panoramic views of the lake.
-Morning: Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru to catch the wildlife at its most active, then return for breakfast. Afterward, you'll depart for the world-famous Masai Mara.
-Journey: The drive takes around 5.5 to 6.5 hours, passing through rolling landscapes and Maasai communities. You’ll arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch.
-Afternoon Activity: Settle in before embarking on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. The reserve's vast, open plains are home to the Big Five and remarkable densities of predators. Return to camp for dinner under the African sky.
-Accommodation Suggestion: Mara Sopa Lodge, Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, or the well-appointed tented camp Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
-Full-Day Exploration: This is your deep dive into the Mara. After an early breakfast, you’ll leave with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. You’ll explore different territories, tracking lion prides, cheetahs on the hunt, and vast elephant herds.
-Mara River: A key stop is the Mara River, teeming with hippos and massive Nile crocodiles. If you are travelling between July and October, this is where you could witness a dramatic Great Migration river crossing.
-Optional Activities: For a truly unforgettable perspective, you can book a hot air balloon safari at dawn (approx. 450−550 per person). You can also visit a Maasai village to learn about the local culture (20−30 per person).
-Accommodation Suggestion: Second night at your chosen Mara camp or lodge.
-Morning: Enjoy one last early morning game drive as the sun rises, a perfect time for spotting predators on the move. Return to camp for breakfast.
-Journey: After breakfast, you’ll begin the drive back to Nairobi, a journey of roughly 5 to 6 hours. You'll stop for lunch along the way (often in Narok town) and arrive in the city by late afternoon.
-Departure: You'll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your onward flight. To do this comfortably, please book a flight departing no earlier than 6:00 PM.

“Our big group of 20 folks came back from a memorable 2-nights/3-days Safari and stay at Camp. We cannot completely express how grateful we are for the opportunity to make life-long memories with our family.”
“Our first trip ever to Africa started with 3 days in Kenya where we met with our guide Emmanuel. He is a very friendly, calm and relaxed guy, easy to talk to. With his knowledge and experience he managed to show us the Big 5 in just 3 days which was an amazing experience!”
