This carefully curated modern beach package blends the rich Swahili heritage of Stone Town with the barefoot-luxury coastline of northern Zanzibar. Designed for couples, honeymooners, families and groups alike, the itinerary balances guided cultural immersion with generous free time to simply relax on some of the finest beaches in the world. We work with a hand-picked selection of beachfront hotels ranging from boutique guesthouses to 4- and 5-star resorts, and every excursion is led by experienced, licensed local guides.
On arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After settling in, set out on a guided walking tour through the narrow, winding alleys - past the old Sultan's Palace, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort and the poignant Slave Trade Memorial. As evening falls, we head to the famous Forodhani Gardens night food market to sample authentic Zanzibari Street food - Zanzibar pizza, fresh seafood skewers and sugarcane juice - right on the waterfront.
This morning, visit one of Zanzibar's aromatic spice farms - the very reason the island earned its name 'Spice Island'. Walk among cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and cardamom while your guide explains their history, cultivation and everyday uses, and enjoy a taste of fresh tropical fruit straight from the farm. Afterwards, we transfer you north (approx. 1.5-2 hours) to the powder-white beaches of Nungwi or Kendwa, widely regarded as the most beautiful stretch of coastline on the island and famous for calm, tide-independent swimming.
A day entirely at your own pace. Sink your feet into the sand, swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, or simply relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand. For those who wish to stay active, our team can arrange optional add ons such as a sunset dhow cruise, a couples' spa treatment, kite-surfing lessons, or a visit to a local turtle sanctuary - just let your tour coordinator know your preference the evening before.
One of the island's most celebrated modern excursions: a full day aboard a traditional wooden dhow, sailing through the mangrove channels of Menai Bay Conservation Area. Snorkel over vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, swim in the shallow sandbanks of Kwale Island, and hunt for octopus and crab with local fishermen at low tide. The day is capped with a lavish, freshly-grilled seafood buffet - lobster, prawns, red snapper and calamari - served on a secluded sandbank, followed by relaxation on Kwale's white-sand beach before sailing back at sunset.
Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast with the ocean in view before checking out. Depending on your flight schedule, there
may be time for a final swim or some last-minute souvenir shopping. Our driver will transfer you to the airport in good time for your departure flight, bringing your Zanzibar experience to a close, with plenty of memories, and hopefully a little sand still in your shoes.
“The atmosphere here felt warm from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff remembered our names during the stay, and there were comfortable seating areas throughout the lobby. It felt more personal than many larger hotels we have stayed at.”
“We had an amazing time, and loved every minute. The tour was very well planned, and dealt with.”
